He we have a lovely handbuilt Grotrian Steinweg Boudoir Grand piano, Made in Braunschweig, Germany.
Grotrian-Steinweg (known as simply Grotrian in the US) were closely linked with Steinway & Sons and have an interesting history to discover, but most importantly they are still manufacturing fine quality pianos to this day.
This 185 model is in excellent mechanical order, clear bell like tones in the treble and a strident bass, lots of character.
The touch is very fluid, not particular light nor heavy, very pleasurable to play.
Finished in a natural mahogany case with brass, we have replaced the keytops with ‘Ivolan’ from Germany, the best Ivory substitute for maximum grip and feel.
