The C Bechstein A114 Compact is the smallest model in the fantastic “Academy” range of upright pianos created by the highly skilled artisans of the famous C Bechstein factory in Germany, the leading company in the C Bechstein family.

This C Bechstein A114 Compact would make an ideal instrument for pianists of all levels, from the ambitious beginner who simply wants a high quality piano to grow into, or indeed the more advanced player who may require a more compact instrument due to space limitations. The piano has a fluid and responsive action and a rich European style tone with a surprising amount of power given the instruments compact dimensions, which should fill most smaller spaces with ease.

The C Bechstein A114 Compact features a timeless and traditional style European casework design. A more contemporary styled version, the C Bechstein A114 Modern, which features a straight edged and angular design with no front legs, is also available and can be viewed separately on this site.

This piano is also available (at additional cost) with C Bechstein’s factory fitted “Vario” silent play system which can be added to this, or indeed any other W Hoffman piano during the initial construction process. This innovative and highly regarded technology enables the use of headphones for noiseless playing, and mutes the strings in favour of high quality digital sampled sounds whilst still using the genuine acoustic action for a realistic playing feel.
