Schimmel C189T Grand Piano

The Schimmel C189T is a fantastic quality “Boudoir” grand piano and is the middle sizes in the highly regarded “Classic” range of Schimmel grand pianos. The “Classic” series is the second highest in the Schimmel range, just below the “Konzert” models, and was previously Schimmel’s flagship series. These professional standard pianos utilise high grade materials throughout, and are produced in Schimmel’s state of the art factory near the German town of Braunschweig, using the latest manufacturing techniques to create a professional, long lasting and outstanding sounding piano with many fantastic qualities.

This professional standard instrument features a wider tail over it’s smaller brother, the C169T, which allows for a longer string length and and larger soundboard when compared to most other grands around this size, which ultimately increases the pianos depth of sound and allows for noticeably longer resonance with the sustain pedal. This model also boasts a triplex scaling in the mid section of the piano, which further adds to its richness of tone and powerful projection. The Schimmel C189T also uses the exact same playing action as the largest model in the range, the C213T, which ensures an excellent level of  control and expression.

This piano is also available with the highly regarded Schimmel “Twin Tone” system, which features an optional extra “silent play” system which allows the player to mute the acoustic operation of the piano and engage digital sampled sounds which can be heard through headphones, all without losing the touch and weight of a real action.

As with most Schimmel upright and grand pianos, the C189T is available in a wide variety of different finishes and colours, including gloss black, gloss white as well as various gloss and satin wood finishes such as walnut and mahogany.
