Just arrived in we have a Sauter 130 upright piano in a traditional style case.
Not to be fooled by the style, this is a modern example made in the late 1980’s, designed to look like pianos built at the start of the 20th century.
Sauter are one of the very first piano manufacturers in the world, and even to this day they are still handbuilt in Germany using locally made and sourced components of the highest quality, including a full Renner actions.
The Sauter 130 is the flagship model, with this size it offers remarkable sonic qualities, huge dynamics and resonance available and an incredibly responsive touch, whether playing whisper quietly or using fast repetitions.
This Sauter 130 piano has a balanced to mellow tone, a warm characteristic overall but with crisp and clear treble notes giving tonal flexibility, allowing the overtones to breathe.
