The Zimmerman brand was established in 1884 in Leipzig, Germany. By 1912, over 10,000 pianos were being made annually, making it one of Europe’s largest piano manufacturers. It went on to become a successful worldwide exporter, following which, it was taken over by the C Bechstein Group in 1992.
