Hailun HG 151 Baby Grand Piano

The Hailun HG 151 baby grand piano is one of our favourite ‘entry’ level baby grand pianos from the state of the art Hailun (pronounced “Hay Loon”) factory in China. Although little known outside of the Chinese domestic market, the Hailun piano factory is a very well regarded maker with rising recognition, and produces many instruments under license for European manufacturers, such as the highly regarded Zimmermann brand for C Bechstein. They’re currently producing some of the best value for money instruments on the market, so are well worth a look!

This Hailun HG 151 is the smallest baby grand piano in the Hailun range, which at only four foot and nine inches in length, should fit into even the smallest domestic environment. The instrument produces a warm sound and has a wide dynamic range and rich tonal palette, all of which come together to make it a fantastic sounding piano for the money that really needs to be played to be fully appreciated.

The Hailun HG 151 would make an ideal instrument for anybody starting off who wants a solidly built baby grand for learning to play on, or indeed as a nice piece of furniture to use as a centrepiece to a room etc. The HG 151 is also good enough to be used well into the higher grades, so is a piano that would suit even the more advanced player.

As with all Hailun baby grand pianos, the HG 151 boasts a unique, hydraulically assisted “soft close” lid mechanism, which makes it virtually weightless, as well as safer, to raise and lower. The piano also boasts a close fall.

This Hailun HG 151 is finished in a clean and contemporary style casework with straight legs and a solid once piece music rest.
This particular example comes in a special edition high gloss white polyester casework which is complemented with polished chrome hinges & pedals with a beautiful birds-eye maple inner rim and a pale gold coloured frame.
