Handel Pianos provide their Ritter Baby Grand Piano for Fundraising Event
Handel Pianos were the proud providers of the grand piano played in the fundraising event, which took place on Saturday 20th of September at the Wentworth Club in Surrey. Over 200 guests were entertained by music and comedy, in aid of Alexander Devine’s Hospice Service.
The charity was set up in memory of four-year-old Alexander, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2001. The co-founder Fiona Devine gave a speech in which she described Alexander as “an extraordinary little boy, who brought love, laughter and tears.” The charity’s aim is to raise £5m to begin work on the Hospice Centre, to be built in Maidenhead, Berkshire through the “Capital Campaign”, where they will care for children in need. They still need £2.5m to reach their goal – For more details on their next fundraising event, contact the charity by calling 01628 822777, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Along with the comedian Ian Irving, the highly acclaimed musicians Kenny Lynch OBE, Carolynne Poole, Martyna Wren and Joe Stilgoe gave brilliant performances, with the help of the beautiful grand piano from Handel Pianos, Sunningdale. We were honoured to have been a part of the successful, entertaining evening, and we want to wish the Alexander Devine Hospice Service the best of luck with their campaign.
